About

Beatrice is a 3rd-year PhD student in the UC Berkeley, Vision Science Graduate Group. Currently, she is conducting her doctoral research under the co-mentorship of Dr. John G. Flannery, PhD, and Dr. Rowland Taylor, PhD, developing optogenetic gene therapies for vision restoration. She is broadly interested in gene therapies, retinal degeneration and diseases, neural circuits in the retina, and regenerative medicine. Her goals are to continue working in academia in hopes to become a professor and developing novel retinal therapies!
